Rustic luxury
We loved so many things about this villa. From the big things like the great location, the different views from various parts of the house. to the rustic furnishings, the rock garden, the roof-top terrace, the large swimming pool. I’ve never felt so comfortable away from home. Michail did everything to ensure we had all we needed.

The villa was very well located and the home of michail was perfect. Morever, the villa is very closed of tavernas, and hania. It’s really a very good spot to stay and a cleaning lady cleans the house every 2 days. We lost keys and Michail help us in 10 minutes.

Great weekend in a lovely villa
The villa is well equipped with spacious and clean rooms. The pool is amazing (the water is clean and in good temperature) and our 3 boys enjoyed it a lot. The village is quiet and close to the main road to Chania (15-20 minutes). Good Wi-Fi. Warm hospitality from the owner (Including wine, milk, watermellon, Raki and more…)

Great place, must visit.
Great villa with amazing view. very clean. The owner Michail is very helpful and kind. The pool is amazing for chilling and having a party with friends. Fully equipped villa. If you are looking for a nice place to stay and enjoy your time this is the best place to be. Very close to the old town of chania.

We have spent a wonderful holiday at Villa Athina in Megala Chorafia/Aptera. The villa is very spacious, has an absolutely gorgeous cactus garden and breathtaking view to the mountains. The swimming pool is in excellent condition. The small village of Aptera is very quiet and has a few excellent taverns with local cretan cuisine. In the proximity there is the archaeological site of ancient Aptera that is worth visiting. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice and spent a very relaxing holiday.

Beautiful location and woderful Villa
The beds were very comfy. The pool was excellent. We loved the overall feel of the house and garden. Loved all of the different seating areas and the beautiful mountain and sea views. Nice and quiet too, just the gentle sound of cockerels crowing, dogs barking and goats and sheep bleating in the distance. We really liked everything about it

Amazing!
The property was situated in a perfect location where you can see the snowy mountains but can still get that hot summers day. As we stayed in the villa for a week the owner even came and changed the bed sheets and tidied the whole villa. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The views were amazing as the double room and single room had balconies, there is even a roof top Terrace where you’re able to see the other side of the island. There is also BBQ facilities available, the swimming pool was also very clean. Overall the stay was amazing and definitely would come back and recommend!!!

Fabulous villa in great location!
The villa is beautiful and immaculate and we liked the rural location (not in the middle of loads of tourists). Nice outdoor space and very well equipped villa indeed – everything you could think of was there 😊. Hosts were very kind and helpful – thank you !
The pillows were a little hard for our liking, but not a problem.

The property was close to the airport and Chania and there was easy access to the main road to travel around the Island. The property was clean, comfortable with great beds, showers and air con. It is perfect for families with older children. Michail and his wife were great hosts and responded to any queries that we had both before we arrived and during our stay. Whilst we were there we visited Lake Kournas and hired a pedalo for a couple of hours, visited Falasarna beach (fantastic sunset), Limoupoulis Waterpark (book online and save 20%) and went out with Captain Nick on a boat trip from Chania for the afternoon. All highly recommended. Do eat in the Aptera restaurant down the road, great food and lovely company. We had a fabulous holiday and would love to return one day.
